About Mia BA (Hons)., MA., MBEd.

Neurodivergent led and Lincoln based person-centred Integrated Holistic Therapist and Creative Counsellor, this means that I am a qualified mental health practitioner who puts the focus on the unique needs of each person and take into account not only mental health but all other areas of life. I have a relaxed, straightforward, fun and positive approach with which I support clients, either 1:1 or in small groups, to help you gain control of your life and untangle your mind to enable you to have the life you need for peace, confidence and to live authentically.

In addition to offering talking therapies I can work with images and creative arts to explore issues with you. It is an effective way of working through issues when words cannot be found, but this is very much optional and driven by your preferences and individual needs. It is really effective so please give it a go, you might be surprised how much fun and enlightening it can be. There is no need to be artistic so please don't worry.

I have a special interest in supporting the Neurodiverse community and ADHD coaching is an area I am passionate about. I also have gained additional qualifications in nutrition and eating distress through NCFED (National Centre for Eating Disorders) and have lived experience of recovery to enable me to support those struggling with this area.

I am a professional member of the International Association of Therapists (IAOTH) and also the International Meditation Teachers and Therapists Association (IMTTA). I am fully insured and follow the IAOTH code of ethical practice and safeguarding.

As always, please just get in touch for a chat. I tend to prefer face to face conversations but am happy with telephone or zoom if that is better for you.

Outside of Untangled Counselling I am also a fun career Creative with many hats - community artist, facilitator, sketch noter, interactive designer, mural artist, creative therapist, fine artist practitioner, eco-warrior..... My focus is on connecting people through art and crusading for creativity as a way to connect the community.

Moving Forward is a group for those affected by domestic violence and provides advice emotional support and comfort to enable people to move on with their lives. This is co-run by our Kerry so please ask if you are interested in coming along.
